Municipal & institutional
Cities, counties, parks departments and universities across Florida plant Conser live oaks — including Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville and EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville.
A municipal tree has to survive two kinds of scrutiny: the inspection at delivery and the forty years afterwards, in public, with a maintenance budget attached. Conser Trees has been growing to Florida Number 1 since 1992, and the trees we sold in the nineties are still standing in Florida towns — which is the only performance record that counts.
The problem
Why buy from the farm
Florida Grades & Standards #1 on every tree, every caliper — the standard most Florida municipal specifications are written against.
One species, one grower, five farms. Street trees and quad plantings that read as a single installation rather than three purchase orders.
Wide spacing produces better-formed heads and stronger branch attachments — less corrective pruning over the life of the tree.
Live oak (Quercus virginiana) is native to Florida, wind-firm, drought-tolerant once established, and the longest-lived shade tree we can put in a public right-of-way.
Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, EverBank Stadium, SeaWorld, The Villages, Lakewood Ranch, and numerous Florida cities and developments.
